san diego nonprofit startup mixer (free event)

Tiny Opera House and Wilkmazz are partnering to host another evening of community, collaboration, and big ambitions among San Diego’s newest nonprofit organizations. Join us Apr 18 to connect with other newly formed San Diego nonprofits and to get resources to help your organization thrive. If you're running a startup or small nonprofit organization in San Diego county - this event is for you!

In addition to hanging out with some of your new best nonprofit friends, we're hosting a few breakout sessions that will give you an edge in building your organization:

  • Work smarter not harder: understanding fundraising partnerships and how to make them work for you

  • Money, managed: accounting essentials and tax tips for nonprofits

  • Keeping it real (compliant): maintaining your nonprofit organization status

Light refreshments will be served. Seating is limited, RSVP strongly recommended.

intersections: art and law at the border

  • Thomas Jefferson School of Law, San Diego (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

This event will examine the intersection of art praxis and legal issues with a focus on the border region. Artists, lawyers, scholars, and students are invited to explore, complicate, and expand our understandings of how art and law intermingle in form, ownership, exhibition and dissemination, as well as the public's relationship to art and art institutions through a legal lens.

Unicorn Sam Mazzeo will be presenting a workshop at this event, along with Art Neill of New Media Rights, about intellectual property in the digital age.

Presented by California Lawyers for the Arts in partnership with Thomas Jefferson School of Law's Public Interest Law Foundation.
